Things are almost set! Access Uploaded is out on submission–it’s gotten a lot of form rejections, a few very nice personalized rejections, and a Revise and Resubmit, which I have completed and sent back. I chopped 40+ pages out of it and really streamlined the opening to get us to the action sooner, so fingers crossed!
“Post-Partum” is a short story I wrote and I’ve submitted it to one fiction magazine. The other place I was going to sub it to didn’t do simultaneous submissions so I’m waiting to either hear back from the first place or for other places to open up their sub lists. I have a few other short stories rattling around my head as well, so hopefully I can get another one written soon and out!
I’ve got the bulk of the social media locked down, although heaven help me, I may never EVER figure out Discord? And this website is about as good as I’m going to get it. The only thing that’s really missing is a proper author photo. I have two different default photos I’m using online right now and neither of them work for me. But! It’s under construction! One of my goals this week is to put on actual makeup and take an actual author photo! I wrote it down on the list and everything!
And I’ve cracked open the next book. I’m not going to post it until I get farther into the story, but I like the opening and I’ve done a lot of thinking about the Bad Guy and the plot arc, so hopefully the words will work with me, not against me.
So we’re getting there, slowly but surely. Things–hopefully GOOD things–are going to happen soon
